the miners foundry

The Miners Foundry was a stone iron works & foundry, built in 1856 and a designated historical landmark as the site of manufacture of the first Pelton Water Wheel. More than a venue, the nonprofit’s mission is to preserve, enhance and utilize the historic Miners Foundry for cultural, educational and social activities in Nevada County.

4:30 PM — Ceremony

The ceremony will begin at 4:30pm in the large stone hall. When finished the Bride, Groom, and family will take some pictures inside and out. Attire for the event is dressy casual/cocktail attire (think suits or sport coats & cocktail dresses).

During that time, the main hall will be converted for dinner service, and we invite you to a cocktail reception in the bar area onsite. There will be a Photo Booth where you can get pictures for yourselves, and to add to our guestbook.

6:00 PM — Dinner

Full dinner will be served in the main stone hall, served family style with vegetarian and carnivore options. After dinner there will be toasts and dancing until the end. You can even make suggestions for music in advance (use group code “robandemily”, no password).

The event ends at 10:00pm. There are several late night venues available within walking distance for further carousing. As always, please carouse responsibly.
